T.L.C. VoxBox

I received a lot of great stuff to try out from Influenster in the TLC VoxBox. 

My favorite would have to be the Free Breyers Gelato Indulgences. It was delicious and indulgent. It is pricey, though, so I don't know that I would buy it unless I had a coupon or it was on sale or both!

My next favorite, surprisingly, was the Neosporin Neo To Go. I have seen commercials for it and thought that it was silly. After having used it with my kids, I love it! It is so much easier to convince my son to spray it on rather than rubbing on ointment. It is very convenient and easy to use.

I love Puffs To Go travel packs and I love that they now have lotion in them. I always carry tissues around, especially during allergy season. My husband and two kids depend on me to have tissue at a moments notice and now the tissues won't be so hard on our noses!

I had seen the Shell Fuel Rewards Network card at the pump before, but didn't want to sign up for another rewards program. I already use my Kroger fuel points at Shell. I didn't realize that I can save EVERY time I go to the pump with my Shell card. The only downside is that I can't combine my Kroger points and my Shell points.

Funny enough, one of the things I like most about the Ivory Bar Soap is the packaging. Ivory provides a nice lather and has a pleasant smell. I don't know what more to say about soap--it gets you clean!

The Avon Anew Reversalist Express Wrinkle Smoother is very smooth and silky feeling. I don't have deep wrinkles, so I gave it to my Aunt to try out. Here is what she had to say: "The product says it is a wrinkle smoother...not to be confused with a wrinkle eliminator or remover. The product is very smooth and creamy and easy to apply. I used it under my eyes and at the corners of my eyes, or in other words on my sagging under eye skin and my crow's feet. I applied it before my makeup. Then I applied my under eye makeup stick and the rest of my makeup. I have to say I was a bit skeptical. How can a product smooth my wrinkles? After using it, I think it actually did what it claimed to do. It hydrated and smoothed the areas so that my makeup did not settle into the wrinkles, thereby making those areas look smoother. In the product name it uses the word "reversalist." This product doesn't reverse your wrinkles but it does smooth them. Overall, I like the product."

I recently started running. I used to say, "I am not a runner. I don't like to run. I have asthma..." Until the day I realized that running is hard for everyone. Every runner pushes through pain and negative feelings.

I realized that even I could be a runner.

So, I set a goal--to run a 5k.

I didn't just go outside and start running. I did some research, found a free Couch to 5k running group, bought real running shoes, and started running three days a week.

It was hard. It hurt. I could barely walk up and down my stairs. I had to use my inhaler...a lot. But, I always had encouragement from my husband and my friends in the running group.

The day of my race as my husband and two kids cheered me on, I got a little emotional. I was accomplishing my goal.

I ran a 5k. I did it!

And now, I am a runner.

I wish I had tried these inserts at the beginning, maybe my pain would have been less. Better late than never. After a run, my legs and feet feel the best after using these inserts. Running is still hard, but it isn't as painful with these inserts. Thanks Influenster for letting me try them for free.

Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS+

When it comes to hair styling, I am picky about my product. I don't just use any old hair product. I used to buy cheap products and would end up statically charged by days end. My hair can get a little frizzy and I definitely have a little natural wave/curl going on. I prefer mousse, because I like the lightweight feel.
I received a free sample of OSiS+ Gelastic from Influenster. The first time I used it, I didn't like how heavy it felt while my hair was still wet and while I was trying to round brush it. But, the hold was amazing. It even survived being out in the humidity. Once my hair is dry, the Gelastic doesn't feel as heavy.I have applied a small amount of Gelastic to my dry hair after using my flatiron, in order to control fly aways and frizz. I am satisfied with the result. I have also applied the Gelastic to wet hair and let my hair dry with its natural curl. I think this is my favorite way to use this product. I can apply a good amount of Gelastic, scrunch my hair a few times, and then let it dry. It makes for an easy hair day and I know that the curls will hold.
While I will finish off this bottle, I don't know that I will purchase Gelastic in the future, just because I am still not sold on gel. I still prefer my mousse. Especially when round brush drying my hair. I do, however, recommend this product for anyone who likes a good Gel.

Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure

Influenster sent me some imPRESS nails to sample. I don't typically use press-on nails and the color wasn't one I would necessarily choose, but I was excited to try them out. The only other time I have used press-on nails was over 10 years ago. The effort involved to apply said nails took all the fun out of wearing them--not to mention they started falling off a day later. The imPRESS press-on manicure was not only super easy to use, but they stayed snug even as I went through my daily routine of housework, childcare and personal grooming.
Each set comes with 24 nails so that you can find the right size for your individual nails. The press-ons were easy to apply. Once on the nail, there was no wiggle room. I took a little more time making sure the press-on was straight in order to prevent crooked application. I only kept the manicure for a couple of days because, like I said, the color sample I received wasn't really my personality. They were just as easy to remove as they were to put on and it didn't hurt one bit to remove them. In the future, if I need or want a press-on manicure, I will definitely use Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure.

Secret Outlast Clear Gel

• I have found through trial and error that I need a strong deodorant to keep me fresh and pleasant from morning until evening. So, when I received Secret Outlast Clear Gel from Influenster to try out, I was more than a little skeptical. Back in college I tried several different deodorants, including Secret clear gel--but I eventually had to settle on clinical strength deodorant so that I didn't end up smelly by days end. I was pleasantly surprised this time around with Secret Outlast Clear Gel. Even after chasing around two kids, taking care of the house, cooking dinner and dealing with humidity, I still smell refreshingly good by the time I go to bed. I definitely recommend Secret Outlast Clear Gel and I may even purchase it in the future as the clinical strength is more expensive.

Tastykake®

Influenster sent me a free S'more flavored Kandy Bar Tastykake to sample. I shared it with my 5 year-old. It was a little crumbly coming out of the package, probably due to transport. Because of its crumbly appearance, my son wouldn't even take a bite. He gave it a lick and said he liked it.
I ate half and then gave the other half to my husband. We both thought that it was yummy. I could taste all three flavors of a typical s'more. I would probably purchase them if I was looking for a road tripping or picnic type treat.

Palmolive® soft touch™

I received a free sample of Palmolive Soft Touch from Influenster. I love the Coconut Butter scent. I have purchased other brands of hydrating dish soap, and wasn't that impressed. But, I find that the Palmolive Soft Touch not only moisturizes my hands, it also has some awesome cleaning power. I will definitely be purchasing this product in the future.
